Afternoon folks!! I just had the most annoying experience in a store today. Here I am, walking, browsing enjoying my day off and all of a sudden "excuse me." "Yes?" I say. "My name is blah blah blah and I run a beauty salon where we specialize in lash extensions. Do you curl your lashes or anything?" "No..." I say (Not sure how this conversation transferred over into hair extension, but ) "We do hair extensions. You know no one wears WEAVE anymore" she says looking at my hair ASSUMING that I did. So she rambles on and on about how it's done and how much it cost. Meanwhile i'm staring at her while she talks to me like i'm her BEST girlfriend. This lady makes me soooooo uncomfortable, I might add. As soon as she's done she tries to give me her number because she didn't have business cards (which is a mistake anyway). So I told her I'm more apt to remember a website than a number (haha). She gives me the website and departs but of course comes back for me telling me how she's from Detroit and she's trying to put people down south on to this. (uggh like we are not cool or something?) So that conversation finally ends and I escape!! So at this point i'm pissed. I HATE being solicited. I really don't like it. At one point I was smelling this pleasant soap from France and then i'm being bombarded!! So she walks away and this lady who works in the store comes up and tells her to stop soliciting people and handling out her business cards. She's like "I didn't give out any business cards." Well you might as well have lady. Why do people do this? Don't you understand you make people very uncomfortable? I dealt with it when my husband and I went to Jamaica which is understandable because they are a poor country but you have no excuse. It's so uncomfortable. When i'm in a store i'm already being watched anyway so why would you take it to another level to make us both be watched? lol Anyway, that's my rant for today. I'm sitting here enjoying my a sugar free Carmel latte from Starbucks. (well Starbucks in Barnes and noble). Barnes and noble Starbucks is the only place i'll get this because I LOVE STARBUCKS and I think I have it branded on my heart somewhere i'm sure, but out of every one I go to, it just doesn't taste as creamy as how the people in Barnes and noble make it. At Starbucks it taste more harsh, I guess I can say, even though it's the same coffee. lol Here's my love in all it's goodness. :) Also, I said I'd show you a picture of my new guitar. It's an electric guitar. I had a acousitc guitar a while back but now i'm moving up. It's a first act. nice huh? Also, here's a pic of me the last week when I tried light brown hair. Boy do I regret that because the color came out blonde looking. Needless to say i'm back to normal. :) And last but not least, my vintage camera that I LOVE. It might not be as fancy as everyone Else but it's fancy to me. XOXO
